Identifying Suspicious Bodies? Historically Tracing Criminal Identification Technologies in Portugal

Abstract: This article explores how criminal identification technologies evolved in Portugal since the end of the nineteenth century from anthropometric measurements to descriptive, photographic, dactyloscopic, and genetic methods.
