Tiwari et al in their analysis mentioned the reasons for delay in presentation comprised of unawareness regarding the signs and symptoms of cancer, lack of availability of qualified local practitioners, use of alternative medication, poor socioeconomic conditions, and lack of a proper referral infrastructure . “…This may be as a result of lower levels of knowledge, lack of awareness, low economic condition and negligence towards significant cancer symptoms, leading to poorer access to health services. 1,[8][9][10] Similarly, in this study 70.8% patients belongs low economic status of which 57.6% diagnosed in late stage. These results favor that low socio-economic status may be one of the causes for delayed presentation.…”
