Abstract:Cold agglutinins produced in the setting of B cell neoplasms, such as lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma and plasma cell myeloma, can mediate autoimmune haemolytic anemia. Transfusion of these patients can exacerbate cold agglutinin-mediated haemolysis.
