Abstract:This paper shares a pedagogical experiment of Igbo language instruction using a folktale literature and its film adaptation. The ethnographic study reveals that film viewership affects the students’ appreciation of the literature and the language and enhances students’ cooperation in sharing and contributing in the learning exercise.
