The aim of this paper was to evaluate the results of an integrated treatment delivered remotely to laryngectomized patients with voice prosthesis. Eighteen laryngectomized patients were treated remotely in groups co-led by a speech therapist and a psychologist ("Online Group"). The results were compared with those of 17 patients ("In-Person Group") previously studied. The two groups obtained comparable results on all parameters of the INFVo perceptual rating scale, in the DEP, ANX, PHO and HOS areas of the Symptom Check List-90-Revised questionnaire, and in the areas investigated by the WHOQOL-B questionnaire. The "In-Person Group" obtained statistically better results on the Italian Self-Evaluation of Communication Experiences after Laryngeal Cancer questionnaire. Although the in-person treatment favored the acceptance of the new voice and the development of conversational skills, telerehabilitation guaranteed an adequate level of assistance in terms of voice acquisition, prevention of anxiety and depression, and recovery of a good QoL.

Este artículo propone una reflexión sobre el impacto y el valor de la cultura en el marco de los procesos de regeneración urbana. Particularmente, se propone reinterpretar la regeneración urbana en clave culturalista. Para ello, y en un plano estrictamente teórico, se discute primero el objeto de la sociología de la cultura, con el fin de demostrar la importancia que tienen las prácticas sociales y la participación cultural en la definición de los imaginarios sociales y en la definición de la vida cotidiana, incluyendo las dimensiones económicas de producción y consumo. Asumiendo el valor social de la cultura, y no solo su valor artístico, y asumiendo asimismo la estrecha relación existentes entre regeneración urbana, cultura y territorio, se desarrolla a continuación el concepto de ecosistemas culturales, que surgen en el seno de las comunidades. A partir de estas premisas teóricas, el texto muestra los resultados de una investigación en la que se estudió la aplicación en Italia del Convenio de Faro. Tales resultados permiten sugerir algunas dimensiones de análisis a partir de las cuales derivar indicadores no económicos que sirvan para evaluar las políticas culturales desde una perspectiva que va más allá del clásico modelo de bienestar y sobre la base de la experiencia adquirida en el contexto de algunos proyectos financiados por la comunidad europea que han dado lugar a buenas prácticas y modelos de excelencia replicables en el ámbito de la innovación social también vinculada a la interculturalidad.

GIS technology as a geographical method in applied library research: interpreting emerging issues through an interdisciplinary perspective

Thanks to current national investigations, research applied to libraries in Italy has an unprecedented amount of data from which are emerging new complex issues and some worrying contradictions. In this framework lies the need to design structured in-depth investigations using innovative interpretative tools. Following an interdisciplinary approach, the article therefore proposes a methodological reflection on the opportunities offered by the integration between geographical knowledge and librarianship. Starting from the comparison between the main application purposes of GIS technology (Geographic Information System) adopted so far, both nationally and internationally, with some new experiments conducted in recent years, the contribution intends to present the potential of a method geographical gis-based for the interpretation of the relationships that link libraries to their context of action.
