Image encryption based on 2DNA encoding and chaotic 2D logistic map

Abstract: DNA has recently been investigated as a possible medium concerning ultra-compact information storage and ultra-scale computation. The development of secure image encryption systems has recently received a certain effective and new direction from chaos-based cryptographic algorithms. This paper proposes a novel image encryption algorithm, 2DNALM, based on double-dynamic DNA sequence encryption and a chaotic 2D logistic map. The three phases regarding the suggested approach are as follows: the first phase involv… Show more

“…Through the mod operation, the chaotic sequence output of CH 2 is constrained to the maximum gray value of 255 and below the gray image, and then CH 2 is used to XOR with the image to diffuse the pixels of the image and reduce the correlation. The diffusion process is shown in equations (12), (13).…”

“…The color image is converted into a DNA sequence using randomly selected coding rules, and the pseudo-random sequence generated by the four-dimensional hyper-chaos sequence is scrambled at the bit level and block level of the image, and the alternative system of an elliptic curve is used to achieve efficient encryption and authentication, which has high computing efficiency. Asmaa Hasan Alrubaie [13] proposed an image encryption algorithm based on double-dynamic DNA sequences and a two-dimensional logistic map. Firstly, the pixel position is scrambled by the position key, and then the image is double DNA encoded by the DNA various rules, finally, the scrambled image is diffused by the two-dimensional logistic map to obtain the ciphertext image.…”
