Imaginarios sociales sobre participación ciudadana en jóvenes universitarios

Abstract

This article addresses the topic of citizen participation in students of the degree in Sociology at the Faculty of Higher Studies Aragón, belonging to the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The objective of this article is to identify the notions of citizen participation among sociology students. The research method is qualitative, using an open questionnaire. The results frame young university students who are prone to participate in social activities, with a centrality of individual motivation to achieve common goals in the community, social and political spheres. In conclusion, young university students observe the image of citizen participation in conventional and unconventional forms.
