Imaging of lactate metabolism in retinal Müller cells with a FRET nanosensor

Abstract: Muller cells, the glial cells of the retina, provide metabolic support for photoreceptors and inner retinal neurons, and have been proposed as source of the significant lactate production of this tissue.
