Imaging of Silkworm Meiotic Chromosome by Atomic Force Microscopy

Abstract: Although structural information of mitotic chromosomes has been accumulated, little information is available for meiotic chromosome structures. Here, we applied atomic force microscopy (AFM) to investigate the ultrastructures of the silkworm, Bombyx mori, meiotic pachytene chromosome in its native state with nanometer scale resolution.
