Imaging of the Neonate with Congenital Heart Disease

Abstract: Selection of the most appropriate imaging modality in the investigation and management of the newborn infant with congenital heart disease is of utmost importance. Although chest radiography and echocardiography form the initial backbone of cardiovascular imaging in the newborn, in selected patients, angiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging or radionuclide studies may be necessary or helpful.
