Background: Edentulism post tooth extraction is an undesirable state among patients, specifically with the involvement of anterior dentition. Immediate denture in cases of anterior teeth extraction is a selected treatment to recover aesthetic and phonetic function. This treatment shows an impact on psychological stability and improves patients’ confidence level. Objective: This case report provides information on the management of immediate removable partial denture for maxillary and mandibular teeth. Case: A female teacher suffered from tooth loss of 26, 28, 36, 46, 47. Tooth 11, 14, 21, 22, 31, 32, 41, 42 were not supported with adequate periodontal tissue and presented with level 3 tooth mobility. Patient expected the teeth to be removed and managed with prosthodontic appliance, yet disfavoring the stage of edentulism because her profession demanded high social performance. Case management: The treatment for this case includes immediate removable partial denture with acrylic material in upper and lower jaw. Denture was fabricated prior to the extraction of tooth 11, 14, 21, 22, 31, 32, 41, 42, and inserted promptly. The insertion result showed good occlusion, retention, stabilization, and tissue adaptation of denture. It also demonstrated good aesthetic result. On 24 hours control post insertion, wound closure was gradually established with the presence of redness. A week after insertion, wounded tissue had been fully covered and redness had been diminished. Conclusion: Immediate removable partial denture provides good aesthetic and function. Patient was satisfied with the treatment because it improved her appearance without experiencing any period of edentulism.Keywords: Aesthetics, Edentulous, Extraction, Immediate Removable Partial Denture.

Latar belakang :Estetik merupakan faktor penting dalam bersosialisasi. Kehilangan gigi depan tentunya memengaruhi penampilan seseorang. Gigi tiruan immediate merupakan restorasi yang dibuat sebelum pencabutan gigi dan dipasang segera di dalam mulut. Pembuatan gigi ini bertujuan memberikan dukungan estetik, melindung luka setelah pencabutan dan memberikan bantuan pengunyahan selama periode penyembuhan. Laporan kasus :Seorang Wanita berusia 45tahun datang ke RSGM dengan keluhan gigi goyang dan malu akan penampilannya. Pasien telah kehilangan banyak gigi di rahang atas, hanya tersisa gigi 23,24,26,27,28 dan beberapa sisa akar. Kebersihan mulut pasien kurang baik dan terdapat beberapa karies di gigi yang tersisa. Setelah dilakukan pemeriksaanperiodontal, diputuskan untuk mencabut gigi 26,27,28 karena goyang derajat 2 dengan pergerakan 0,5mm disertai bifurkasi terbuka dan gigi 32,31,41,42,47 karena goyang derajat 3 dengan pergerakan 1mm. Berbagai pemeriksaan penunjang seperti pemeriksaan radiografi panoramik,uji vitalitas gigi, pemeriksaan periodontal, keadaan sistemik pasien dan persiapan pembuatan gigi tiruan immediate dilakukan sebelum tindakan pencabutanoleh tim bedah mulut. Pembuatandan pemasangan gigi tiruan dilakukan oleh tim prostodonsia. Kesimpulan :Gigi tiruan immediate memberikan nilai estetik bagi pasien yang tidak mau mengalami fase tidak bergigi. Dibutuhkan kerja sama antara dokter gigi dan pasien untuk mendapatkan gigi tiruan yang maksimal. Kontrol berkala danreliningbertahap diperlukan untuk memperbaiki stabilitas dan retensi gigi tiruan immediate.

Background: Immediate complete denture is one of the treatment options in patients requiring extraction. It plays a significant role in the immediate restoration of aesthetics and other oral functions. The dentures are fabricated before the extraction of all the remaining teeth and delivered immediately to the patient after the extraction. Case: This presents a case of a patient with aggressive periodontitis managed with an immediate complete denture. The patient had reservations about conventional complete dentures due to concerns about being seen as edentulous while extraction sockets healed. The patient was satisfied with the simple and economical treatment modality of immediate complete denture.
