Abstract:Computational micromechanics appears of the utmost importance, especially in the current context of digital twins in mechanics of materials. The objective here is to develop an efficient solver for the simulation of geometrically complex composite microstructures involving numerous inclusions connected with the matrix through various non-linear interface behaviors. To do so, we resort to IsoGeometric Analysis, which provides increased per-degree-of-freedom accuracy, and leverage the recently introduced immerse… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
