“…31 A peak in SiO 2 (205 nm), SiO 2 − NH 2 /Pd (209 nm), and SiO 2 −S−Pd SA (213 nm) is also observed with a slight shift but an identical nature as characteristic of the SiO 2 substrate structure. 9,32 nm, hinting at the strong coordination of −SH groups to Pd through the d−d transition and ligand-to-metal charge transition (LMCT), 33,34 further demonstrating that in SiO 2 − S−Pd SA , Pd species experience a fundamentally different coordination and bonding environment. The presence of LMCT-relevant peaks in thiol-to-Pd-coordinated materials also shows that the Pd species in these materials are in the form of either clusters or single atoms since nanoparticles usually show weak-to-no peaks related to the LMCT.…”

“…Furthermore, a new band at 2361 cm −1 was identified as the vibration of the nitro of copper nitrate, therefore, these copper species entered the pore of SBA-15 mainly through the interaction with the Si–OH groups on the surface of catalysts. 23…”

“…[20][21][22] SBA-15 is considered by academia as a promising catalyst support. Jin et al 23 found that heterogeneous catalysts synthesised on SBA-15 were highly active in the three-phase oxidation reaction of cyclopentene (CPE) with H 2 O 2 . Zhang et al 24 investigated how the acid-silanol and basic-alkylamine bifunctional groups on the SBA-15 molecular sieve play a catalytic role in the hydroxylaldehyde condensation reaction of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) with acetone.…”

“…This is considered as a potential green catalyst for industrial and biomedical applications. Recently, Jin et al . reported tungsten chelate complex in organic moieties (diphenyldichlorosilane)‐functionalized mesoporous silica SBA‐15.…”
