Abstract: Chronic pancreatitis (CP) is a progressive inflammatory disorder that impairs endocrine and exocrine function. Our previous work showed that mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) and MSCs overexpressing alpha‐1 antitrypsin (AAT‐MSCs) could be therapeutic tools for CP.
