Abstract: BACKGROUND Adoptive cell therapies (ACT) are strategies being explored to boost the immune response against cancer. ACT cancer immunotherapies are effective against metastatic melanoma, leukemia, and lymphoma, but face challenges in treating other solid tumors, such as in the brain.
