Abstract:Vasculitides are a group of disorders characterised by inflammation and necrosis of the walls of blood vessels, resulting in narrowing or occlusion of the vessel lumen, leading to ischaemia and destruction of the tissues. They are usually classified according to the size of the vessels predominantly involved.
