Immunity-Based Evolutionary Interpretation of Diet-Induced Thermogenesis

Abstract: Diet-induced thermogenesis (DIT) has often been argued to be a physiological defense against obesity, but no empirical proof of its effectiveness in limiting human body weight gain is available.
