“…The stromal cells in pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia lesions have been found to be progesterone receptor positive, 11 and similarities have been found between pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia and features of intralobular stroma during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle; 12 these findings support the hypothesis that pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia is a hormone-related proliferation of intralobular stromal cells.
