Abstract: Background: Preeclampsia, a serious pregnancy complication, is associated with defective placentation and adverse maternal risk. Placental Growth Factor (PlGF) and soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFlt-1) are pivotal in placental development and are dysregulated in preeclampsia.
