Immunogenicity studies of various experimental vaccines in chickens

Abstract: In this paper, the main objective was to raise chickens’ antibodies against three crucial public health microorganisms: the human immunodeficiency virus-1, Salmonella spp, and Staphylococcus aureus. Immunogens were prepared from the said microorganisms. Chickens were vaccinated either orally or intramuscularly. After a booster immunization, mostly eggs were collected and assess for the presence of specific antibodies. The most important results were the production of a large amount of anti-HIV antibodies in ch… Show more

“…The study emphasises the significance of investigating alternative immunotherapeutic strategies and highlights the potential of hyperimmune egg-derived antibodies as a treatment modality. Overall, the findings contribute to the understanding of HIV immunology and emphasize the importance of continued research into effective HIV treatment options [65,67,68] .…”

“…Fragments 308-331 and 421-438 of the HIV gp120 [5] 2. Fragments 579-601 of the HIV gp 41 [5]. This peptide, derived from the V3 loop of HIV gp120, completely blocks the fusion inhibition activity of antisera to recombinant human HIV proteins and inhibits the infection of primary human T cells by HIV-1 as syncytium formation.…”

“…The feeding schedule was a blinding up process, the scientist did not take part in this process, and they did not know that each group was being treated. At the end of the feeding schedule, blood samples were obtained from all the chicks and investigated using an inhibition ELISA [5].…”
