These cells have also been studied in various gastrointestinal diseases (Odgers and Wangel, 1968;Soltoft, 1969), especially in coeliac disease. Rubin, Fauci, Sleisenger, and Jefferies (1965) did not observe any difference between immunoglobulincontaining cells of adult coeliacs and controls.…”
