Serum antibody and the IgG fraction have been found to be inhibitory to L. cuprina larvae in vitro (O'Donnell et al 1981, Eisemann et al 1990, Seaton et al 1992, however, in vivo no correlations have been found (O'Donnell et al 1980, Sandeman et al 1985, 1986, Eisemann et al 1990, Seaton et al 1992.
