“…In Table 3, we summarized published studies in which GSTP1-1 was determined in ovarian cancer tissue and related to the clinical outcomes of patients with EOC. Some researchers found a relationship between overexpression of GSTP1-1 in malignant ovarian tissue and poor prognosis or bad response to chemotherapy (8)(9)(10)(11)(12)(13), whereas others could not detect such an association (14)(15)(16)(17)(18)(19)(20)(21). These conflicting results might be explained by differences in techniques used to quantify GSTP1-1 (Table 3).…”

“…As a protein tag, GST is also a member of the GST gene fusion expression system, and therefore, is widely used in molecular immunology [4] , vaccine production [5,6] and study of protein-protein interactions [7] or protein-gene interactions [8] . It was reported that a certain type of GST was a potential drug target in treatment of multidrug resistant tumors [9,10] . Therefore, to prepare electrospun fibers capable of capturing GST is of both theoretical and practical significance in the field of protein science and materials, because they can be used not only for separation, enrichment and purification of GST itself, but also for separation and purification of all GST-tagged fused proteins.…”

“…This enzyme is often increased in malignant tissues, irrespective of prior chemotherapy, and is suggested to serve as a multidrug-resistant factor in both inherent and acquired fashions (19,25,26). In fact, there are recent reports that disclosed a correlation between glutathione S-transferase P1-1 (GSTP1-1) expression in tumor tissues and the prognosis in ovarian cancer as well as in head and neck cancer (27,28).…”
