Abstract:The present work studies the immunomodulatory potential of nervonic acid (NA) on the growth and proliferation of murine RAW264.7 macrophages. The immunomodulatory effects of NA were assessed through the evaluation of nitric oxide (NO) levels, cytokine secretion, phagocytic activity, reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, and nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) signaling pathway of RAW264.7 macrophages. The methodology used included a cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) technique, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), ne… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
