“…The ALP levels increased in a dose-dependent fashion with the highest in the 10X group on day 30 FFC-dosing. These results are in agreement with the observations recorded in sh during the misuse of FFC (Shiry et al 2020) and goat (Shah et al 2016) upon FFC injection. Although the ALP levels reduced with the cessation of FFC-dosing in all the treatment groups, their levels were still signi cantly higher than on day 0.…”

“…The biochemical examination is a vital and more important tool used to assess the nutritional, and health status, and the capability of fish for adaptation to the external environment (Abdel‐Tawwab, 2016; Burgos‐Aceves et al, 2019; Faggio et al, 2014; Fazio et al, 2013; Sehonova et al, 2018). Total protein as a general biomarker represents all protective enzymes, stress hormones and metabolites circulating vital fluid in the body; so, it is an important indicator of humoral defence system (Shiry et al, 2019). The present results found that TP, ALB and GLO values significantly ( p < .05) increased as BO levels in diets increased where their highest values were recorded in shrimp fed diets with 2.5–5.0 g BO/kg diet.…”

“…In addition, only the group offered TTO‐supplemented diets at two‐week intervals had significantly high transcriptions levels of peroxiredoxin‐5 , which indicated that dietary administration of TTO in an appropriate feeding mode could efficiently reduce the inflammatory response in the intestinal tract of prawns by downregulating the transcription of intestinal proinflammatory factors but increasing the transcription of anti‐inflammatory genes. A possible explanation could be that both IL‐1 and TNF‐α can activate the NF‐ÎșB pathway through the regulation of NO release, which is closely related to immunity and the anti‐inflammatory and anti‐oxidant capabilities of animals (Song, Guo, Wang, & Wang, 2014; Jangiam et al, 2015; Shiry, Soltanian, Shomali, & Paknejad, 2019). This possibility is supported by the knowledge that dorsal in prawn is highly homologous to the NF‐ÎșB gene in mammals, while toll is the gene upstream of the NF‐ÎșB pathway (Ivan et al, 2019).…”
