Impact Factor of 9.2 for JEADV and first theme issue on atopic dermatitis

Abstract

Breaking news for our journal: The new Impact Factors have been released, and JEADV has risen from 6.1 to an astounding 9.228.JEADV is currently ranked fourth out of 93 peer-reviewed dermatology journals globallya new high for both our journal and EADV.It is now time to thank the large number of individuals who made this possible, including the JEADV Associate and Section Editors, the Editorial Board, the EADV Executive Committee and the Board of Representatives (all listed on the inside front cover), with a special mention to our Editorial Team in Lugano, Switzerland, headed by Asao Sarukawa, the publisher Wiley with Thomas Trier-Mørk in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the production team in India and Singapore, and, last but not least, the authorswithout whom none of this would existguided by our reviewers, all participating in creating a journal that you, our readers, will find most relevant and compelling.For us, this means: Do not rest, let's look aheadand keep pushing with even more zeal and determination.As part of this September release, we are launching our first 'theme issue'. While this is common practice for several journals, JEADV has hitherto restricted this concept for sponsored supplements. Throughout the years, here at JEADV we have been committed to be as timely and relevant as possible, striving to cover the whole spectrum of our specialty with every single issue published. My previous experience as an editor at younger journals has taught me that it can be tempting to recruit authors and collect papers for a particular topic if there is a shortage of quality manuscripts. JEADV faces the opposite challenge, as we manage a continuous, rich stream of manuscripts without a single paper being put on hold for a future 'theme issue'. Nevertheless, we discussed the idea at the EADV Spring Symposium in Ljubljana and ultimately decided to give it a try. We came to the conclusion that a theme issue may be:
