Abstract: Purpose: Due to the potential benefits of allopurinol in ischemic reperfusion injury, this randomized control trial was performed to evaluate the pretreatment allopurinol effect on major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI).
