Background: This narrative review article aims to provide an understanding of diabetes mellitus, including its causes, health risks, and ways to prevent and prevent them, empowering self-management skills in managing this health problem. Conclusion: Diabetes mellitus is a condition that requires a multifaceted approach to management. It involves dysfunction in insulin secretion, insulin action, and glucose metabolism. Empowering individuals with the skills to manage this metabolic health problem can contribute to significant health benefits in the prevention and treatment of this disease.
