“…The outcomes of our study are similar to Thangapandiyan et al (2020) who stated that 30 mg/kg was the optimal level to improve the blood indices of L. rohita when fed with Fe 2 O 3 ‐NPs. However, Paulpandian et al (2022) found that 40 mg/kg had significant effect on haematological traits when fed to blue gourami. Different NPs, dosages, fish and laboratory conditions may have all played a role in the result's variability.…”

“…Nanotechnology is a future‐oriented scientific field that has already impacted many other sectors, such as medicine, cosmetics, energy and food (Kannan et al., 2023 ; Munekata et al., 2021 ). In aquaculture, nanoparticle technology has a broad spectrum of applications from pond water treatment and aquatic disease detection to the efficient delivery of cultural inputs, including medicines, vaccines and nutrients, to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the aquaculture industry (Aliko et al., 2024 ; Gabriel et al., 2022 ; Jeyavani et al., 2022 ; Khalil et al., 2022 ; Paulpandian et al., 2023 ). However, the application of nanotechnology in aquaculture sector is faced with some limitations, including the cost‐effectiveness of available resources and the practical risks for the application of nanotechnology in aquaculture practices, which should be concerned before industrialization (Munekata et al., 2021 ).…”

“…Literature has reported various data where the antioxidant potential of MONPs has been assessed to estimate the overall antioxidant efficacy of these NPs. For instance, iron oxide NPs greenly produced from Camellia sinensis (Paulpandian et al 2022 ), Achillea nobilis (Sepasgozar et al 2022 ), ginger ( Zingiber officinale ), and cumin seeds ( Cuminum cyminum L.) (Noor et al 2022 ); ZnO NPs from Thymbra spicata L. (Gur et al 2022 ), Caesalpinia crista (Donga and Chanda 2022 ), Cladosporium tenuissimum (Mani et al 2022 ), Cystoseira crinite (Elrefaey et al 2022 ); and CeO 2 NPs from turmeric (Kalaycıoğlu et al 2022 ), Spirulina platensis microalgae (Khaligh and Asoodeh 2022 ), etc., exhibited significant antioxidant potential. Herein, we briefly discuss the antioxidant activities of CuO NPs.…”
