Impact of chronic immobilization stress on parameters of colonic homeostasis in BALB/c mice

Abstract: The intestinal epithelium is a monolayer of cells arranged side-by-side and connected by tight junction (TJ) proteins expressed at the apical extreme of the paracellular membrane.
