Abstract:In the present investigation, we show the role of dielectric permittivity in the growth of hydroxyl carbonate apatite over ZnO-substituted 45S5 bioglass. ZnO is incorporated here in 45S5 bioglass because of its incipient dielectricity. Zinc is a necessary element for the formation, mineralization, development and maintenance of healthy bones.
