“…The optimal level of potassium is crucial for improved growth and yield of eggplants and assists eggplant to tolerate salt stress (Rady et al, 2018). The foliar application of potassium improved the potassium uptake in the leaves of plants which increased the fruit set, retention, yield as well and quality (Bons, & Sharma, 2023). This highlights the importance of potassium in eggplant to increase the number of fruits per plant with better quality.…”

“…31−33 In our study, exogenous SA, Spd, EBR, and MT treatments also significantly increased the single-fruit weight of blueberry fruits under Cd toxicity compared with CK (p < 0.05) (Figure 1A). Mineral elements, especially the trace elements Fe (the main component of chlorophyll synthesis), Mn, Cu, and Zn, play an important role in plant growth and physiological metabolic activities, and are involved in processes related to photosynthesis, fruit quality, and yield formation; 34 moreover, Cu and Zn as components of most oxidative enzymes directly affect the function of plant oxidative systems, while Mn acts as a catalyst which is closely related to the plant enzyme activity. 35 However, the excessive accumulation of Cd in plants disrupts the uptake and translocation of mineral elements and ultimately inhibits plant growth.…”

“…Supplementation with micronutrients has become an important strategy to improve the nutritional status of plants or to induce a priming effect against abiotic stress conditions in plants. There are few publications considering the responses of Brassica rapa , Pisum sativum , Triticum aestivum , T. durum , and some fruits (Hajiboland & Farhanghi, 2011; Harsimrat & Sharma, 2023; Moitazedi et al, 2023; Tavanti et al, 2021) showing that plants supplied with B demonstrated higher stresses resilience compared to B‐sufficient plants. However, there is still a lack of information on how the foliar supplementation of B as a priming agent can increase the tolerance of agricultural crops to drought stress, especially considering the responses of soybean plant.…”
