Abstract:This study investigates the impact of junction temperature on the high-frequency performance of a DAR (Double Avalanche Region) IMPATT oscillator, operating at several frequency bands. By using a simulation technique created by the authors, the temperature dependency of static (DC) and high frequency properties are observed. The large-signal admittance features reveal the existence of distinct, widely spaced negative conductance bands, which can result in a broad tuning capability. The linear and non-linear ch… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
