Impact of Open Files vs. Closed Files Testing: An Experiment with Mid-Eastern IT Students

Abstract: The question to be examined in the intended research is whether and to what degree access to previous files gives students an advantage during a practical IT test , i.e. does it produce higher results on tests and if so how much? The hypothesis is that viewing previous files will make little or no difference to student performance. This was validated by the results.
