Impact of planetary ball milling parameters on the microstructure and pinning properties of polycrystalline superconductor Y3Ba5Cu8Oy

Nano-platinum additives ball milled with hollow carbon spheres for mechanical tensile promotion of 2212- Pb1+x(HCNs/Pt)xBiSr2CaCu2O8 superconductor

“…These changes are always accompanied by forming 2201-PBSCCO and calcium plumbates Ca 2 PbO 4 as secondary phase [18,19]. This depression in the values of Tc-offsets is attributable to that hollow carbon nano-spheres-Pt additives scattered super-current flow and their random incorporating in the solid solution during sample synthesis interrupted the super-current flow of 2212-superconductive phase and hence Tc-offsets decreased [4,13]. This behavior of depression on the values of Tc-values offsets are in full agreement with Akio et al [22] who have investigated the effect of lead additions on the superconductivity and mechanical features of 2223-BPSCCO superconductor.…”
