Impact of supercharging and compression ratio on performance characteristics in a single cylinder DICI engine

Abstract: This work investigated the influence of variation of supercharging pressure and compression ratio on performance characteristics in a single cylinder direct injection compression ignition (DICI) engine. The engine was coupled with centrifugal blower type supercharger and compression ratio varied as 14:1, 16:1, 17.5:1 and 18:1.
