“…In this work, we study the Fano resonance (FR) due to the coupling between FP and MR in Au-SiO 2 -Au MDM, and its application in mercury detection. Based on our previous works, 15,26,27) we design and manipulate their coupling using FDTD solution software, and then fabricate large-area samples using a stitched soft X-ray interference lithography technique, characterize their morphology using both an optical microscope and scanning electron microscope. Both the FR analysis and its application in mercury trace detection are performed through reflection spectra analysis using home-made UV-vis spectroscopy, which includes one Xenon lamp light source, sample holder, and photomultiplier spectrometer, where both the ingoing and outgoing light are all introduced by fibre, all spectra are detected at room temperature in the wavelength range of 450-900 nm, and an Al film is used as reference.…”
