Abstract:A novel high-frequency induction technology was successfully developed to carry out ultra-flash tempering treatment (UFTT) of high-strength carbon steel (HS-CS) with a heating rate of 1000 °C/s. The as-received HS-CS is a fully martensitic structure with low toughness.
