Abstract: Antiretroviral therapy changed the prognosis of people living with HIV/AIDS. However, lack of adherence jeopardizes the success of antiretroviral therapy and enhances the development of treatment‐resistant strains, treatment failure, and therefore it stands as a public health problem.
