Show more

En el presente volumen, Correa et al (2021) realizan una descripción detallada de varamientos, floraciones algales nocivas e impactos During 2017 CEN, the shoreward projection of equatorial and oceanic waters was reflected in the more coastal and wider distribution along the coast of chub mackerel Scomber japonicus, eastern Pacific bonito Sarda chiliensis, yellowfin tuna Thunnus albacares, swordfish Xiphias gladius, and skipjack tuna Katsuwonus pelamis, favoring their availability to the fisheries. Instead, some cold-water species, such as Peruvian silverside Odontesthes regia, recorded declines in landings, although squat lobster Pleuroncodes monodon, which is considered a CCW indicator, continued to be extracted off the southern coast (ENFEN, 2017) (Fig.…”

“…The increase in flows also generated local changes in salinity in several marine-coastal zones (ENFEN, 2017;Correa et al, 2021), whose decrease may have contributed to stratification and coastal hypoxia in certain areas, such as Sechura (Cueto et al, 2021). We should note that along the coast of Lambayeque and La Libertad (ca.…”
