“…Para la variable "Porcentaje de personas en situación de pobreza extrema" no se presenta un aumento de la mortalidad en los municipios rurales de México con COVID-19, pues acorde a los resultados presentados en el Cuadro 3 que resultaron significativos, sus coeficientes resultaron negativos (-0.62, hombres menores de años, y -0.54 para mujeres mayores de 80 años). The results of this research help to take measures to reduce mortality in case a person with Covid-19 is intubated at a hospital and has complications such as diabetes and obesity, or has deficiencies in health services, food or housing quality and spaces, with special attention to people living in rural communities, since in these places there are high levels of poverty and mortality due to the pandemic (Abedi et al, 2020), because these people have greater economic problems and loss of employment (Sosa et al, 2020), in addition to being exposed to sources of contagion (Ponce, et al, 2020;Mejia et al, 2020) and lack basic housing and health services (Anser et al, 2020;Cheng, Sun, & Monnat, 2020), so they cannot have sanitary hygiene services to wash their hands (Unicef, 2020), in addition to living in overcrowded conditions (Mejia et al, 2020).…”
