Abstract

The research presented here aims to determine the impact of the use of construction and demolition waste aggregates on the environment. For this, a systematic review of the literature was conducted, specifically of articles published in journals from 2018 to 2023 in three databases (Google Scholar, SciELO and Dialnet), using the PRISMA method, in order to obtain publications that respond to the objective and the research question posed in this study. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to select the articles. As a result of the review, 15 research studies were obtained, from which it was determined that the use of construction and demolition waste as aggregates has a positive impact on the environment by reducing the emission of harmful substances, reducing the extraction of raw materials and the dumping of construction waste. As a conclusion of the study, it is determined that the impact of the use of construction and demolition waste aggregates on the environment is positive.
