Case studies on livestock farms in China (Zhang 2020) and Myanmar (Boughton et al 2021) have shown that commercial poultry and swine farms have been severely affected on multiple fronts: falling demand for meat and eggs coupled with major constraints on accessing essential inputs, such as day-old chicks.
