“…Previous studies have noted that IL-10-producing Treg cells play a key role in immune tolerance, preventing uncontrolled inflammation and immunopathology. [34][35][36][37] These Treg cells can inhibit effector T-cell proliferation and cytokine production, reduce IgE production, suppress airway eosinophilia and downregulate the release of proinflammatory cytokines from mast cells by mechanisms involving IL-10 in allergic diseases. [38][39][40][41] Collectively, our findings suggest that osthole treatment dampened effector Th2 cell responses to limit allergen-induced immunopathology, at least in part by augmenting the numbers of IL-10 + Foxp3 + Treg cells.…”

“…In asthmatic mice, IMP, in a dose-dependent manner, reduced IgE levels, airway hyperresponsiveness, and Th2 cytokines and increased IL-10-producing T cells. In LPS-stimulated DCs, IMP increased IL-10 and suppressed the release of proinflammatory cytokines [72]. Li et al have reported that IMP effectively diminished COX-2, IL-6, TNF-α, and iNOS expression via downregulation of NF-κB and JAK/STAT signaling in alveolar macrophages [74].…”

“…The pharmacological properties of IMP make it a promising candidate for drug development. It has been documented to possess antioxidant [66,67], anti-inflammatory [68,69], anticancer [68,70], antibacterial [71], and antiallergic activities [72]. Singh et al reported that IMP treatment significantly reduced the 2…”

“…Furthermore, TSLP upregulates the expression of surface co-stimulatory molecules, including CD40, CD80 and CD86 on DCs. Under the influence of secreted cytokines and membrane-expressed molecules including OX40 L, Jagged1, IL-6 and leukotrienes C4, activated inflammatory DCs interact with naive CD4 + T cells and induce the differentiation of Th2, Th17 and follicular helper T cells (45,46). CCR3 and CCR4 surface receptors of Th2 cells directly bind to chemokines secreted by epithelial cells.…”
