The purpose of this study is to describe the form of euphemism in the editorial of the September 2022 edition of Kompas Daily and its implementation as Indonesian language teaching materials in high schools. This research employed both descriptive and qualitative methods. Data collection techniques included observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis used the distribution method with the replacement technique. This study found euphemisms in the form of: 2 abbreviations, 6 loanwords, 3 foreign terms, 9 metaphors, and 7 periphrases. The results of this study were implemented as teaching materials for Class XII Indonesian language learning. It fulfills Base Competency 3.10: evaluating information, both facts and opinions, in an article, and 4.10: arranging opinions in the form of articles. The implementation also hone students' skills in compiling opinions by using good and polite language.

The aim of this research is to describe the readability of news texts on Kompas.com as teaching material for class 8 Indonesian SMP/MTs. This research is a literature study. The data in this research are 30 Kompas.com news texts collected using documentation techniques. Readability level was measured using Fry charts. Steps to analyze data include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data was carried out by theoretical triangulation. The results showed that two texts were at the 7th grade reader level, five texts were at the 8th grade reader level, six texts were at the 9th grade level, eleven texts were at the 10th grade reader level, five texts were at the 11th grade reader level, and one text was at the 11th grade level. reader class level 12. The results of this research can be used as an alternative teaching material in schools for Indonesian language subjects, especially news text material for grade 8 SMP/MTs.

Purpose: This study aims to (1) describe the variety of formal languages found in daily news on kompas.com online media, and (2) describe the implementation of various languages found in daily news on online media kompas.com in education. Methodology: In this study using descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques used note-taking techniques. The note-taking technique is done by recording every language variety found in the daily news on kompas.com online media. Results: The result of this research is that there are frozen variety, official variety, business variety, and casual variety. Applications/Originality/Value: The variety is implemented in learning Indonesian KD 3.2 by examining the structure and language of the news texts that are heard and read.
