The rollover evaluation index provides an important threshold basis for the anti-rollover control system of vehicle. Regarding the rollover risk of independently driven heavy-duty vehicles, a new rollover evaluation index is proposed, and the feasibility of the improved index was verified through hierarchical control and HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) experiments. Based on an 18-DOF spatial dynamics model of a heavy-duty vehicle, the improved LTR (load transfer rate) index was obtained to describe the dynamic change in the tire’s vertical load. It replaces the suspension force and the vertical inertia force of the unsprung load mass. It avoids the problem of directly measuring or estimating the vertical load in the LTR index. Under the conditions of fishhooking and angle stepping, three types of rollover indicators were compared, and the proposed index can more sensitively identify the likelihood of rollover. In order to apply the improved rollover index to a rollover control well, a hierarchical controller based on the identification of the slip rate of the road surface, ABS control with sliding mode, variable structure and differential braking was designed. Simulations and HIL tests proved that the designed controller can accurately predict the rollover risk and avoid the rollover in time. Under the condition of J-turning, the yaw rate, slip angle and maximum lateral acceleration are reduced by 9%, 16% and 3%, respectively; under the condition of fishhooking, the maximum yaw rate, slip angle and lateral acceleration are reduced by 12%, 18% and 3%, respectively.

Every child has the right to receive education tailored to their needs, including those with special needs. Many teachers still need help designing learning activities for inclusion classes. This research aims to analyze the readiness of PAUD teachers to hold inclusive classes. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach. The subjects of this research were 50 PAUD teachers. The method used to collect data was a questionnaire with the help of Google Forms. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of five aspects and 42 statements, measured using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique is quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that most PAUD teachers understand the concept of inclusive education, although some require improvement through training. However, teachers' awareness of the importance of inclusive education needs to be appreciated. Despite the transition's uncertainty, ECCE teachers demonstrate readiness to adopt inclusive practices. The success of inclusive education requires systematic support that includes collaboration, training, and strategic approaches to overcome challenges and guide PAUD teachers toward success in implementing inclusive education. This research implies that PAUD teachers' readiness to facilitate inclusive classes is critical. This readiness is essential to create enjoyable learning activities.

PurposeProblem solving skills (PSS), an important component of learning outcomes, is one of the desirable skills in engineering graduates as stated by many employers, researchers and government bodies in India for a strong foothold in professional world. There is a need to develop comprehensive understanding and integration of theory (concept) and practice (process) of PSS in the context of experiential learning (EL).Design/methodology/approachThe present study is qualitative in nature using a conceptual research design focussing on synthesis and model building framework. The key elements of the study are PSS, EL and their integration. The study seeks to develop conceptual integration of PSS across multiple theories and perspectives. It offers an enhanced view of a concept of PSS by summarising and integrating extant knowledge. It presents the complete and comprehensive meaning/definition of PSS. Subsequently, it also explores EL and synthesises the different variants of EL that can be used to develop PSS. Finally, the study builds a theoretical framework that proposes integration and interplay between PSS and EL.FindingsProblem-solving operates at three levels: problem concept (nature and context), process (stages with strategies) and solution (open-ended). EL can be used as a tool to develop PSS in an integrated manner. It is found that EL and problem-solving interplay with each other as both are cyclic in nature and have commonalities strengthening each other.Practical implicationsThe proposed framework can be adopted in engineering education for making the engineering graduates job ready.Originality/valueThe study proposes a framework based on integration of EL and problem-solving focusing on specific aims and goals of the course, learning approaches, learning strategies and authentic learning (learning environment). This integration would bridge the gap between engineering education and industry requirements. EL integrated problem-solving focus on pedagogical knowledge (knowing how to facilitate discussion among learners and curricular knowledge) and instructional knowledge (knowing how to introduce, organise different methods and assess).
