Implementation of mobile augmented reality on physics learning in junior high school students

Abstract: Technology has an essential role in the educational field. Technology-based mobile has the potential to improve education through Augmented Reality (AR). This study investigates the effect of mobile augmented reality on physics learning achievement and students' opinions on using this technology. The study used a convergent parallel pattern from mixed-method models in which quantitative and qualitative data are collected simultaneously and analyzed independently. The study participants are 64 (7th-grade studen… Show more

“…Female students outperformed male students in all three areas, a finding supported by previous research by Fatoba and Aldejana (2014). Similarly, Rahmat et al (2023) also found that female students performed better in physics learning compared to male students. However, it is important to note that some studies suggest that male students may excel in physics learning.…”

“…There were 64 participants in this research, who were students from grade 7 at a junior high school in West Java Province, Indonesia. This research reveals that students who use mobile augmented reality show higher levels of learning achievement compared to students who rely on textbooks as their learning resource (Rahmat et al, 2023) A study conducted in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, aimed to see high school students' responses after they participated in mobile learning. For two weeks, students were involved in mobile learning focusing on physics subject matter.…”

“…Augmented Reality (AR) (Chang et al, 2018) is a technology that combines real and virtual environments. AR technology in physics learning can improve learning achievements and positively impact students (Rahmat et al, 2023). AR allows students to explore concepts that are not visible to the naked eye and make them visible and displays real objects which have never been seen before (Sahin et al, 2020).…”
