“…The Press Council of India (PCI) in 2019 issued a notification endorsing the WHO guidelines for responsible reporting of suicide, and drew upon the provisions on the Mental Health Care Act 2017 [18], which stipulates that the media should not publish photographs or any other information about a person undergoing mental health treatment without their consent [19].
