This study examines the opinions of 18 experts from various sectors, including managers, executives, and academics across Saudi Arabia. The researchers first organized the interview data into themes and sub-themes and then applied text analysis and text mining to derive findings and conclusions. Using an inductive approach, they explored qualitative data categorized into themes using NVivo 14 software. The research identifies challenges, benefits, and risks associated with workforce development for entrepreneurs and industry practitioners in Saudi Arabia. It emphasizes the advantages of machine-to-machine (M2M) and human-machine interaction (HMI) for enhancing productivity according to industry standards. Additionally, the study discusses technology innovation, government policy development, business model creation, and job generation through smart technology cooperation. It outlines necessary training and skills for managing local talent within the technology framework of the industry. The study also highlights efforts by entrepreneurs and industry professionals to elevate the local Saudi workforce to a global standard and the associated risks of job polarization and income disparity. The findings offer solutions for sectors like manufacturing, energy, environment, healthcare, education, and smart city initiatives, aiming for security, cost reduction, and enhanced production with real-time outcomes aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The implications of the study provide recommendations for corporate managers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and the government to transform the local workforce into global talent in step with technological progress and industry standards for machine and human collaboration in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

This research focuses on the impact of environmental uncertainty on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia, particularly in Aceh Province. These businesses are vital for sustaining the country's economy. The study investigates how SMEs in this region can expand internationally despite facing environmental uncertainties. It emphasizes the importance of motivation in helping these enterprises overcome challenges and uncertainties, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and global conflicts like the Russia-Ukraine war. The study employed a survey method, gathering primary data through questionnaires distributed to a target population of SMEs in Aceh Province, involving 1,245 businesses. A purposive random sampling technique was used to select 275 respondents. These respondents were chosen because their businesses have shown growth and resilience amidst various uncertainties. The findings reveal that both environmental uncertainty and motivation significantly influence the performance of SMEs in Aceh Province. Moreover, motivation plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of environmental uncertainty on SME performance. This suggests that in the face of uncertainties in the business environment, strong motivation drives SMEs to innovate and sustain their operations.

This research investigates the synergistic relationship between Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0, crucial paradigms in modern industry, through a literature review of 60 scientific articles published from January 2013 to November 2023. The study reveals a tripartite relationship: Industry 4.0 technologies amplify Lean Manufacturing’s efficiency; Lean Manufacturing principles facilitate Industry 4.0 adoption; and their interaction fosters mutual enhancement, indicating a dynamic interplay. The results show three main trends: combining Industry 4.0 technologies, especially the Internet of Things, with Lean Manufacturing principles to make things more efficient and productive; highlighting the important role of Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 in tackling sustainability issues and encouraging eco-friendly practices; and combining Lean principles with Industry 4.0 as a step toward Industry 5.0. Challenges include the need for a cultural transformation to align Lean’s simplicity with Industry 4.0’s complexity, resolve compatibility issues between legacy systems and new technologies, enhance data management and cybersecurity, address skill deficiencies through staff training, and ensure supplier and partner alignment. This research enriches academic and industrial discourse by presenting a novel outlook on the convergence of lean manufacturing and Industry 4.0, highlighting its significance for future works.
