“…The presence of either a contrast blush-indicative of active bleeding within the spleen-or of a pseudoaneurysm demonstrating splenic vascular injury, predicts the failure of non-operative management in adults (10,11). For this reason, patients who had either of these findings in our study went on to receive angiography.…”

“…[3][4][5][6] Adult experience has suggested that a "blush sign" could predict the failure of nonoperative management and warrant early embolization or surgery. [7][8][9][10][11][12] In children, management decisions are based on the physiologic response to the injury rather than the radiologic features of the injury, 2,13 calling to question the significance of a blush sign in this population. Prior studies have addressed the significance of the blush sign in pediatric abdominal trauma.…”

“…In particolare, la TC fornisce una detection rapida e affi dabile delle lesioni della milza e la valutazione in tempo reale del grado delle lesioni, fornendo al paziente una scelta terapeutica adeguata, vale a dire il NOM o SAE o la chirurgia. Inoltre, la TC 猫 utile per evidenziare possibili lesioni associate [25,26].…”

“…In particular, CT provides rapid and reliable detection of splenic injury and real-time evaluation of its degree, directing the patient to a suitable therapeutic option, namely, nonoperative treatment or percutaneous embolization or surgery. In addition, CT is useful for identifying possible associated lesions [25,26].…”
